From the Principal
Dear Parents and Students of East Islip High School:
What an exciting few weeks at East Islip High School! There is so much to share where do I begin? Senior Class/PTSA Fashion, Humanities Honor Society door decorating contest with childrens books as this years theme, Spirit Week, Foreign Language Café Bar, Breakfast of Champions, dodge ball, volleyball and European Handball tournaments, Podcasts that can be found on our website, the Key Clubs Talent Show, Springtime Breakfast at Toddler High, Computer Associates/Microsoft and Keyspan workshops for women, Town of Islip Diversity Workshop, just to name a few.
In addition, all our winter sports teams have been designated scholar athletes teams, Renee Domyzch was honored as Channel 12s Scholar Athlete of the Week, and both our girls and boys bowling teams are State champs - the first time in State history that both girls and boys from the same high school received this honor.
And then there was Les Mis &. As I keep hearing around the community, our Les Miserables is still the talk of the town. We are so proud of each and every member of this production.
The scheduling process for next year will begin the week of May 5 th . Our course guide will be arriving home with your son or daughter shortly. We encourage you to speak with your child about their course selections for next year. We are also looking forward to our College Fair (April 9 th ), Trade Fair (April 16 th ), Festival of the Arts (April 711th), Poetry Coffee House (April 17 th ), Pops Concert (April 14 th ), spring concerts (May 1 st and May 19 th ), honor society inductions and graduation.
